WEDDINGS.IO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using Weddings.io Inc.'s AI wedding planning platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Weddings.io Inc. is incorporated and operates from Ontario, Canada. These terms apply to all platform users, including couples/users and vendors.

2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Weddings.io Inc. provides a web-based AI wedding planning platform that:

  • For Users/Couples: Offers free wedding planning tools, vendor connections, inspiration, and organizational features globally
  • For Vendors: Provides paid listing services, AI planning tools integration, lead generation, and communication features to connect with couples planning weddings

3. CONTENT LICENSE

By uploading images, photos, videos, or other content to the platform, you grant Weddings.io Inc. a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display such content for platform operations, marketing, and promotional purposes. You retain ownership of your content but acknowledge this license survives account termination.

For Vendors: You represent that you own all rights to uploaded content or have proper authorization to grant these rights.

For All Users: You may request content removal subject to applicable data protection laws.

4. SERVICE PRICING AND PAYMENT

User/Couple Services

  • Our platform is provided free of charge to users/couples globally
  • We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future with advance notice
  • No payment information is collected from users

Vendor Subscription Plans

Basic Plan: Monthly: $200 CAD/month; Annual: $1,680 CAD/year (30% discount) Professional Plan: Monthly: $400 CAD/month; Annual: $3,360 CAD/year (30% discount) Premium Plan: Monthly: $600 CAD/month; Annual: $5,040 CAD/year (30% discount)

  • All fees in Canadian dollars; currency conversion applies for international payments
  • Applicable taxes (HST/GST for Canadian vendors, local taxes where required)
  • Payment due in advance via credit card or approved international payment method
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled with required notice

Payment Security and Compliance

  • Weddings.io Inc. is PCI DSS Level 4 compliant
  • We do not store credit card information on our servers
  • All payment processing handled through certified third-party payment processors
  • Currency conversion and international payment fees may apply for non-Canadian vendors

5. INTERNATIONAL USER RIGHTS

  • Platform operates under Canadian law regardless of user location
  • Users may have additional rights under local data protection laws
  • Currency and regional vendor availability may vary by location
  • Vendors outside Canada: Remain subject to these Ontario-governed terms but are responsible for compliance with local business registration and tax obligations

6. DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY

We comply with applicable data protection laws including:

  • PIPEDA (Canada)
  • GDPR (European Union residents) - including right to deletion, data portability, and explicit consent
  • CCPA (California residents) - including right to know, delete, and opt-out
  • Other applicable regional privacy regulations

7. USER ACCOUNT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

All Users

  • Provide accurate personal/business information during registration
  • Maintain confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Comply with local laws regarding data sharing and interactions

User/Couple Specific

  • Use the platform only for legitimate wedding planning purposes

Vendor Specific

  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional conduct on the platform
  • Comply with all applicable local and international laws
  • Update listing information as needed

8. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

  • Uploading copyrighted content without authorization
  • Misrepresenting your identity, services, or credentials
  • Harassment of vendors, users, or other platform members
  • Commercial use of the platform without authorization (for users)
  • Attempting to circumvent platform for direct payments (for vendors)
  • Spam, solicitation, or inappropriate communications

9. VENDOR INTERACTIONS AND TRANSACTIONS

User Guidelines

  • All vendor communications should occur through the platform initially
  • Users are responsible for verifying vendor credentials and local licensing
  • Users enter into direct contracts with vendors for services
  • International transactions subject to additional considerations

Financial Transactions

Weddings.io Inc. does not process, facilitate, or have any involvement in financial transactions between users and vendors. All monetary exchanges, payments, deposits, and financial arrangements are conducted directly between users and vendors outside of our platform.

By using our platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Weddings.io Inc. is not a party to any financial transactions between users and vendors
  • We do not collect, process, or handle any payments on behalf of vendors or users
  • We are not responsible for any payment disputes, chargebacks, refunds, or financial disagreements
  • We do not guarantee payment security, vendor financial stability, or transaction completion
  • Users assume full responsibility for verifying vendor payment methods, terms, and financial credibility
  • Any financial losses, fraud, or payment-related issues are solely between the user and vendor
  • International users should be aware of currency exchange, international transaction fees, and varying consumer protection laws

Vendor Verification and Warranties

  • Weddings.io Inc. does not conduct financial background checks, credit verification, or business license validation of vendors
  • We make no representations or warranties regarding vendor reliability, financial stability, or ability to deliver contracted services
  • Vendor profiles, reviews, and ratings are user-generated and not verified by Weddings.io Inc.
  • Users are solely responsible for conducting due diligence on vendors before entering contracts or making payments

10. ACCOUNT TERMINATION AND DATA RIGHTS

User Account Termination

  • Users may delete their accounts at any time
  • EU/UK residents: Right to data deletion under GDPR
  • California residents: Right to deletion under CCPA
  • Other users may request data deletion, subject to business requirements
  • Content license may continue post-termination unless deletion requested

Vendor Account Termination

  • Weddings.io Inc. may terminate accounts for breach of terms, non-payment, or inappropriate conduct
  • Upon termination, license to your content continues but you may request content removal subject to applicable data protection laws

11. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS (Vendors Only)

  • Monthly subscriptions: 30 days written notice required
  • Annual subscriptions: 60 days written notice required
  • No refunds after initial 30-day period for annual plans
  • Refund processing may take longer for international payments

12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

  • Primary Jurisdiction: Ontario, Canada courts have jurisdiction
  • International Users: May pursue disputes in their local jurisdiction where applicable
  • EU Residents: Access to EU dispute resolution mechanisms
  • Vendors: Binding arbitration available as alternative
  • Mandatory Arbitration: Not applicable where prohibited by local law

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • For Users: Weddings.io Inc. is not liable for any damages arising from use of the platform, vendor interactions, or wedding planning decisions
  • For Vendors: Weddings.io Inc.'s liability is limited to amounts paid in the preceding 12 months

14. INDEMNIFICATION (Vendors)

Vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless Weddings.io Inc. from any claims arising from their use of the platform or content uploaded, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

15. CONSUMER PROTECTION

  • Canadian residents: Rights under Consumer Protection Act, 2002
  • EU residents: Rights under EU consumer protection directives
  • Other jurisdictions: Local mandatory consumer protection laws apply where they provide greater protection

16. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by Ontario law and federal laws of Canada, except where local mandatory consumer protection laws provide greater protection to international users.

17. MODIFICATIONS

  • General: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, with changes taking effect upon posting to the platform
  • Vendor Notice: Terms may be updated with 30 days notice
  • Continued use of the service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms

ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE

By creating an account and using the Weddings.io platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent to use this service.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Weddings.io Inc. regarding your use of the platform.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
